A Day at Disneyland

What do you do when you are feeling stressed and life is just getting you down.

Well what I do is go to the happiest place on earth. I love going to Disneyland and enjoying all the magic behind the park. It honestly feels like once you entered the park all your problems just melt away.

I got the chance to go with my mom and sister. They are the best Disney crew around! What is shocking is that we went on Friday and we were able to get on eleven rides.

I even got to see Ariel as I was walking into the park. She was looked lovely that I had to take a quick picture of her with a little girl.

If you love to laugh at cheesy jokes and puns then the Jungle Cruise is perfect for you. We got on that as our first ride because the line was only 10 minutes long. But it was actually quicker than that.

When you go into Frontier Land you can see all the Mexican inspired Day of the Dead décor. I absolutely love it! This time when we visited this section we noticed that they were doing FREE face painting. So of course I made all of us wait in line. I liked that we did something new in the park that we usually never do.

Here is the final product. Personally I liked my sister and Mom’s skull better than mine so I had to take a close up of theirs.

My Mom loves the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and she is always my competition. This time I was pretty forced and our photo showed it all.

Since it my favorite time of the year I always love seeing how Disney decorates their rides. One ride that gets my creative juices flowing is the Haunted Mansion. Every year they design a new gingerbread house and this one was speculator. The smell alone gets you excited for the cold fall weather that is on its way.

It was such a great way to relax and remind me what joy my family can bring me. I am extremely grateful for my Mom and sister.

Yesterday was my sister’s birthday and we decided to go to Disneyland.

Since it was our last day as annual passholder’s I decided to take the day off of work. My mom and sister picked me up with Mc’dees and we were off.

We decided to meet my niece and cousin in Disneyland because she wanted to go meet the Star Wars crew. Since us three aren’t really any die hard fans we went on Radiator Speed Racer.

Once we met up we started to go on all the rides with them since they had to leave early. We went on the Buzz Lightyear, Matterhorn,  Its a Small World, Alice in Wonderland Tea Cups, Haunted Mansion and Thunder Mountain.

After that we went and had some linner (Lunch and Dinner) at the Plaza Inn. I had their fried chicken, green beans and mash potatoes. Since it was my sister’s birthday the crew member from the restaurant decided to make her feel special.  She was given a red rose and jam with a candle on top. This cute old man brought out his harmonica and began to sing to her and others that were also celebrating their birthdays.

We also went and got some treats after. My niece and sister got the Death by Darth. My mom, cousin and I had their Peppermint Beignets. I recommend trying them both. Later I bought a Mint Julep which is really refreshing and I got myself a cool bracelet.

Right when My niece and cousin were about to leave me aunt Sandra decided to join us.

We went on Buzz Lightyear again but got stuck and had to get taken out of the ride. My sister and I had fast passes for Space Mountain but since its the season of the force it was called Hyperspace Mountain. It was so awesome, if you are a die hard Star Wars fan you MUST get on this ride.

Meanwhile my aunt and mom went on the Buzz Lightyear and the Haunted Mansion since my aunt didn’t get to go on it with us. When we got out of the ride we met them at Pirates of the Caribbean.

When we were waiting in line my aunt surprises us and told us that with careful consideration they renewed our passes!

All in all it was a great day and I hope that my sister enjoyed herself.

* What I forgot to mention was that we say a Disney kitty there. It was so cute sleeping while everyone was oooh-ing and aww-ing at it.

The Happiest Place in the World

Some of you don’t know that I have an annual pass to Disney. This year I really haven’t had the opportunity to go to Disneyland for a full whole day. When I go with my family, we usually go right after work.

My family go Disney crazy, we are all obsessed to the point where we know the rides on both parks. It’s because of that, that going with others isn’t that fun. They tend to complain more and not enjoy the innocents of being a child again.

So when I graduated I told my boyfriend that we have to go together because once this year is over my pass ends. After seeing the current new prices I won’t be renewing it either. He finally caved and said he would go with me.

On Thursday we went, I made sure that picked the right day when it wasn’t going to be too crowded. We went to McDonalds before we went to Disney just to get some breakfast. After that we headed straight to Disney California Adventures.

I love that park because it more for adults; so you have a little more wild rides there. We had their must have corn dog and ice cream by the pier. The rides we went on were The Little Mermaid, Goofy Flying School, Toy Story Mania, Radiator Springs Racers and Soarin’ Over California.

After that we went over to rent a wheelchair since me boyfriends leg was acting up. I think pushing him throughout the rest of the day was such a workout. Especially since there is so many slopes in Disneyland. With all that pushing we would take breaks and try some treats that were new. This time I tried their Mint Julep and Pumpkin Beignets and they were so bomb!! I completely fell in love with the beignets and as for dinner we had some mouth watering good fried chicken. The place brought us in because of the smell, honestly I would have never knew that Disneyland sold this dank fried chicken.  The rides we got on were Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, It’s a Small World, Alice in Wonderland and Star Tours.

When the park hit 10:30 we left to catch the tram. As I was aching in pain from all the walking and pushing, I thought that today was the best day ever. I got to experience Disney with my best friend. This was honestly the best birthday ever and its not even my birthday yet lol.
